Imagine…your witnesses
Imagine all the witnesses of your life
All the people who have seen you,
What their perception of you is,
What they think you do,
Who sees you working hard,
Who sees you slacking,
Judging you with each glance,
Good or bad views of you,
Your hair, your body , the language you speak,
Everything matters when you’re witnessing something or
someone
We are all witnesses
Dean- the concluding idea feels powerful- that witnessing makes everything matter. That is paired w/ the way we're all watched/witnessed, which is a bit creepy, really. The link between these two ideas isn't as clear, nor is the shift from creepy to powerful. As a teacher I certainly feel 'watched' in the classroom- although I'm also quite used to it. These are strong ideas that I'd encourage you to develop with specific, showing images.
